Social Bowling
On Saturday afternoons throughout the season, starting on 24th October, the club meets at 1.30pm for social bowling. There is a much more relaxed atmosphere than the competitive league environment, making it an ideal introduction for new bowlers. Matches are played on a round robin basis with teams being picked at random giving an excellent opportunity to meet new friends. The more experienced players are always keen to show new bowlers the basics of the game.
A small entry fee of £1 per player is charged, with the winners receiving a small prize.
Many players who initially try out the social bowling days get the "bowling bug" and go on to join teams in the leagues. This really is an excellent way to introduce yourself to bowls. If you would like to join in then come along 15 minutes before start time and ask for Joyce Ogden.
